^This!

Been a Jeep owner for many, many years...latest is a 2006. Of all my vehicles the Jeep is definitely the hardest to climb in and out of. And it is worthless for hauling stuff around. The open bed of a side by side is much handier.

Being one month away from being a 79 yo, make sure he uses a seat belt. While leaning over to look for some in front of him, he could easily get thrown out of the vehicle. Head injuries are more dangerous the older you get. I still use my tractor with a bucket and backhoe. I installed a step on the left which makes it easier to mount/dismount the thing. Love getting out on it. Thanks for looking for your father. I'll leave it to others to discuss the type of vehicle.

one thing i 've encountered with my 92 yo father using a diesel bobcat utv is he does'nt run the thing long enough to keep the battery charged. Then consequentially the battery dies and then "other " issues arise....
