Used CK30 purchase help

I know of a 2006 CK30, 4X4 gear, with 350 hours. It comes with a KL130 loader and 3-point back blade. I am told it has a small dent on the hood near the headlights, and the tires are industrial turf and in good condition.

The asking price is $9500.

It sounds good to me, anything I should ask or particularly look for?
The owner is moving from 6 acres to a city lot, so doesn't need it anymore.

I have 5 1/2 wooded acres. I have a long gravel drive I maintain. I would like to skid a few logs (I have a chainsaw mill). I intend to do some general cutting etc. some landscaping on the place. Push snow in the winter.

I have never owned a tractor before so any advice appreciated!

See if the warranty is transferable. Ask for maintenance records.
If mechanic is close - get a compression check on engine and look for any leaks - engine or hydraulics.

It sounds like a good deal. 350 hours is not a lot.

Ask about the loader. Is it a KL130B, where the "B" is important. If so, it's a great buy. If it's the old loader style (non B models), make sure it has the retrofit kit installed. Ask the owner about loader cracks and do a search in these Kioti forums for loader cracks so that you are aware of the issue.

All in all the CK30 is a very nice machine. But, you should also evaluate your intended uses and make sure it is the right tractor for you.

Even if it doesn't have the new b style loader and the kit is not on grab that deal!!!
That is a smoken deal!

Couple other quick questions..
Is this a private owner or dealer?
If a private owner make sure there is no lein on the tractor.
Ask the purchase date of the tractor, that will tell you how much more warranty is left on the machine.

Quick thought on pushing snow. If you plan to move snow with loader alone its not very efficient. A loader with a plow blade attached is another story. The problem is the loader fills up fast and is not the best snow removal tool. The perfect snow bank moving tool though. when my plow truck finally goes to the plow truck resting place (probably my backyard if current inventory of stuff back there is any indication), I'll take the 8 foot fisher and mount onto my bucket. I am thinking that is probably one of the best set ups for snow removal.

As you mentioned this was your first purchase just thought I'd point out.

It is a private owner. He indicated he bought it nearly 2 years ago to the day (plus or minus) from today. I hope to see it on Saturday.

A friend said to look closely at the draw bar for signs of abuse, not that it is a critical hard to replace part etc. but unusual wear there can be an indication of abuse. Any other rules of thumb?

I will look for fluid leaks etc. I am told all the records/receipts are there to show maintenance.

He also has a backhoe for it for $5,000 with 2 buckets. It is a Kioti quick attach unit. Sounds like it has relatively light use. I may be inclined to pick that up as well. Any points to consider with that? He also has the Kioti finish mower, brush hog, auger and a few other bits (generator, Gill pulverisor).

The asking price for the brush-hog is around $1200. My lot is wooded, with lots of brushy under growth I'd like to cut. I have been using a DR field and brush mower for the last 10 years, but a brush hog for the majority of it couldn't help but speed up the cutting I'd think. I've brocken the frount deck off the DR at least 3 times in the past.

get the serial number and call wallace or another dealer to check on the warranty history of the machine and for the amount of remaining warranty.

Look at all lubrication points to be certain it's been lubricated, make sure the loader is not full of slop (sign of lack of lubrication). If at all possible, validate the dates and hours of motor oil changes, that's another critical point, particularly within first 50 hours or so.

If possible, test the clutch by pushing up against a tree, make certain there is no slipping, by ensuring the tires spin when trying to push the tree.

As for the hoe, what model number? My thought on this is, I would think not a particularly easy sell for him on it's own, not like there is a million Kioti's out there and the likelihood of him finding a buyer for just the hoe is somewhat remote, I would think. Therefore, my thought is you are in a position of power on that one. $5000 sounds like a lot to me. There are others here who could speak a whole lot more intelligently on this point than me.

The key really is frequency of maintenance, you need to be certain she's been lubed regularly and all maintenance per manual performed.

I would agree with Joel on the BH. I am almost sure I remember seeing a new one for around that price.

If you can get the model number give it to Joel and he can tell you.

The backhoe is a KB 2375. Do owners of this unit like it? How well does it hold up? What should I expect to pay? I know they list around $6500 new, may be in the 5s discounted or package. There are 2 buckets with the backhoe, but I don't recall the sizes.
