Buying Advice Upgrading for Expanded Use

I currently own an older model JD 455 with a 60" deck for mowing three plus plantation acres and a snow thrower for a long drive.

In addition to the snow removal and mowing, I will use the next tractor to bush hog trails on steep timber acreage and for general forestry management.

Please recommend your choice of tractor and attachments.

That covers a lot of possibilities; might want to describe in more detail. Are you going to keep the 455 for mowing?

I honestly don't know of any tractor that will work well in all your situations. A Kubota BX or B, John Deere 1000 or 2000 Series or equivalent in other brands might come close, but will be a little under powered and light for general forestry. I sure wish there was, it would save me a lot of money.

Your best tractor is two tractors. No one tractor will be great for all of those purposes. A larger and smaller machine would be best. A Deere 3x20 or equivalent would be the best all in one IMO.

I agree get two (or keep the 455 and get one). I have a Lawn tractor for just mowing and an old AG tractor for the woods.
