Old man, old equipment

As I said, I'm oldish (75) and my tractor is New Holland 3930 that we use for everything on our farm. We are officially a Tree Farm but some of our acreage is old pasture land/hayfield which we keep mowed as directed by our forest management plan as "edge habitat." There is relatively little commercial agriculture left around this part of New England. So, we bush hog, remove snow, move logs and firewood, etc. Also, all of the nearby dealers I've relied on all my life have closed, so maintenance and parts are a challenge sometimes. So I look forward to having a source of information to consult, and a place to perhaps share a bit of what little I know if it would help someone.

Thanks for the welcome. I'm glad to be back. I just discovered that I have water in my fuel filter that should be drained, but the little plastic drain valve's handle is broken. My fuel filter is the one with two elements, both with the little white plastic drains. I've looked up both NH 3930 and Ford 3930 and the part number seems to be D1NN9K024A or 81825360. Is this the same part that the say in the listings "Fits Ford tractors from 1965 up"?

Your tractor is at the end of the good years where people can still work on them.. Youtube is your best best friend everybody does service and repair videos and the internet just put in a part number and search will find you a part. If you are not on facebook, create an account and go on marketplace and look for mobile mechanic. A lot of guys due to the economy work side jobs that will come on location to do repairs.
