Okay you folks that have replaced the boots on the front steering links... what are your tricks for getting the spring steel retaining ring on the boot? This is pissing me off.

If you can catch a greased pig, then it should be easy.

Okay so much easier to remove the whole assembly. Might need a tippet wrench (22mm) to get a hold of the steering shaft. I ended up buying a cheap HD (Husky) open ended wrench and used a bench grinder to grind it down to about 3/16in thick. Boots replaced!
