Tractor lots are full

I was at my Kubota dealer this past week. Yes, they had tractors on the lot and in the showroom. But, they were busy and still selling. Two parties were signing paperwork in the half hour I was there and they’re definitely still doing okay.

It was nice to see some product on the lot for once.

After googling, Apparently they were part of a chain of 4 locations, now 3 locations. Probably got bought then closed down.

Kubota Corporate is heading down the same path as JD or at least attempting to. The old management is being replaced with younger management with different ideas.

Calcium chloride is far less corrosive than sodium chloride. It also is effective in colder temperatures.

I doubt it and the 'buyout' was for salaried workers only. He's an hourly worker in skilled trades at Toledo Powertrain. I suspect they are on shutdown.

I would never even consider buying a vehicle from Kalifornia either. Too much Newsome pollution junk.

Most cars meet 50 state emissions, and have for twenty years.

No but I had one of those back then too. What a POS. Weak suspension, poor brakes and weak motor but then that was in the 60's and it was all good.

One thing about Fords, they have little creativity in naming new models.

We used to call the Maverick, the 'ick'....

The Maverick, when released, stickered at $1995 . Not a bad deal at the time, and was actually quite a good around town car with the 200 six, and even better with the 250 six or the 302 v8 that came along a little later.

It was quite a good seller, too, with close to 600000 sold the first year.

I don’t know why the Midwest still uses rock salt on icy roads. There are several non corrosive alternatives. It amounts to local governments destroying everyone’s vehicles. The magnesium chloride and sand/cinders used by my state highway department are non corrosive. Many other western states also use those materials. And no vehicle corrosion.

Magnesium chloride is more corrosive to automobile bodies than rock salt is.

Your state is arid, with mild winters, very little snowfall, and low relative humidity. That’s why your cars don’t rust.
You use volcanic cinders because you have vast fields of lava fields. That’s not common other places.

Sand doesn’t readily spread at twenty below zero unless it’s mixed with salt.

Magnesium chloride brine is sprayed on the road before the snow even starts. It’s highly corrosive to cars and bridges. Cars are replaceable when they corrode, and deaths aren’t exactly inexpensive or desirable either.

That’s why, in part, I ended up with Kioti, Deere, and Case equipment. Kubota shut down when I was buying. Glad to see they’re back now, presumably under new management.

Not nearly as capable or handy as the Amarok.

The Amarok is about twice the price as the Maverick, and is probably burdened with legendary VW quality (not).

Plus it’s a soccer mom weeniemobile with no bed.

Great for those trips to Walmart, though.

Not always. We don't. We file once a year and let the CPA handle the light work.

Depends how they are structured, employees, etc.
I was in business 38 years and did not have to file quarterly all those years.
