It’s without a doubt better. Button joysticks are much easier to use than foot pedal. I hate foot pedal skid steers and 3 stick case backhoes.

Eagleview, I appreciate your words, thank you. Well I could make cad files but I don't know your laws so I'm gonna have to look into it..

The builder is responsible for safety. Your CAD drawings cannot injure anyone, only the thing the buyer of the plan makes from it. Selling CAD plans is much safer than selling hardware.

That's true, I can't come visit every builders workshop and do the project with him. Everyone should be responsible for their build...

Soo...summer vacation is over so back to work...drilled all the holes on the kingpost, next I'll weld the main hinges

Made threads in those holes...it took me an hour, 22 holes in total, M20. Hinges welded in place and a little fit test...

I am blessed, although I would have a hard time getting my wife to clean up welds or even step foot in my garage for anything like that. But she brings me good coffee, and tends to the kids.

Thanks. Well it has to be up to the job. You can't pull stumps or roots and do any serious digging with a light duty machine... this machine is generally not gonna be as heavy as rk 525.

Oldpath, if you ask about the holder, I had to weld the handle because my original adjustable holder can't open up wide enough to catch M20, max M16. I have to buy a bigger holder. So since this thread is done in 3 passes this was the first and hardest one so I needed long handle to make it. For the 2nd and 3rd pass I managed to hold the tool with a wrench because it takes far less power to do it

Over here thats called red-neck engineering, I can relate to that. Isn't it funny sometimes most times, an answer will just create another question, I've done some 1" tapping and I did it in ONE pass, so why what's this three pass deal to make threads for a bolt?

Curious, I'm asking this at 4:52 pm Sat., wondering if answer will correlate the time posted
