Backhoe Titan Skidsteer backhoe

I am contemplating this as possibly my next attachment since I cannot afford to shell ot $8k for a traditional backhoe. It apparently does not have an "elbow" like a traditional backhoe does. I'm wondering how much of an inconvenience or issue this might be. Any thoughts?

Well, there are two issues I see. There's no way to dump the material without moving the tractor/skid steer since there's no side to side. That would not be a quick way to dig. There's no stabilizers so a lot of force is going to be directed through the loader arms. I guess that's not that big of a deal since the implement is always centered and can't really torque the arms.

I traded my CK30 with bh for the bigger DK45 yesterday. I used the bh to cover most of the difference in price. I sure will miss the bh but figure I can rent a mini ex for 1 weekend a year for 20yrs for the price of a new bh. I've seen these SSQA diggers, and the price is much more reasonable, but it would be slow, so for anything more than the occasional small hole, I think renting a mini ex is the way to go. If you accept that argument, then you have to be able to justify $2K for the occasional small hole, plus having to store it. On the plus, it would be a lot easier to install/remove than a bh.

I am not a huge fan of tiny backhoes in general. I think I'd look into a narrow long traditional bucket for the skidsteer. maybe mount a larger hoes bucket on your skidsteer like a normal FEL.
