Tire chains for a SC.

What are some good places to buy a good set of tire chains to fit my tractor? 29 x 12 x 15 tires. I don't want cheap junk chains, but rather well built chains and tensioners.

I was considering those same chains (the 2 link version, not the 4 link). But I ended up finding some used chains on craigslist.

I bought a set from them and they are tough. Also they handle more than just the usual 'ladder' style chains.

Agreed! I got mine there, 2 link twisted style with tensioners. I called them with a question when ordering online. VERY nice people!!!! I haven't installed mine yet, am waiting about a month yet before the mower comes off and the plow and chains go on.

Well, you said you didn't want cheap junk

These are awesome chains. I have a studded pair on my back tires (17.5 x 24) from Telefsdal (Norwegian Co.). I can't lift one complete chain off the floor. Kind of a wrestling match to get them on, but getting stuck is the last thing I worry about.

Before chains, I was stuck several times, did a couple lazy 360's going down the driveway, had to keep my backhoe on all winter for weight and to get unstuck.

They will outlast my tractor by about 50 yrs.

I installed my new chains, and had to remove two cross chains on each one, which is totally normal. The chains are first rate quality, and provide awesome traction.
Now, I've had the chains on for 3 weeks, and I ran across a fantastic deal on a BX2350 with FEL and MMM, so it is now here, and will be the replacement for my B5200, starting in spring, as it will need a set of chains, tires loaded, and a plow. So more of the same chains will be on order.
