There is a throttle stop that hits against my injector pump when I push the throttle all the way open. Is there a corect setting for this (it is adjustible)? Is it ok to adjust it so that the throttle opens farther to give more fuel to the motor?

The throttle on my 2210d is set to stop at 2600 rpms. I can't imagine have to run more rpms than that. I have found that 2100 to 2300 rpms is plenty for just about everything I have used it for. 2600 rpms seems to wind the motor pretty tight.

Kenmac,

Originally, there was a small safety wire twisted from the jam nut and to the threaded rod. This safety wire indicated where the factory set and adjusted fuel pump amount and timing.

Often, I have adjusted the throttle rod and related hardware. I am not positive but I think that you can damage the pump by setting (adjusting) the throttle and it's timing. Maybe someone else is a little better qualified to set us straight.

I can't imagine any reason to run a Yanmar over 2600 rpm.

I found a post to my question.I guess this engine rpm also applies to 3110 engine speed
