Three point valve broken!!!

I know California痴 YM240 has the diverter valve, those of you with the loader plumbing run the same way Hoye tells you to, without a diverter valve, does your system do this when working the loader?

It's been a while, but I did have some issue with mine, I just can't remember what that issue was.
I plumbed my 3 point using power beyond not long after having the loader put on.

I'm glad to see you got it working thought. I had no other clues.
From sitting from behind a computer screen, It's hard to know that someone else had butchered up the linkage

Agreed, I am not sure why I didn’t realize there is supposed to be a snap ring on the other side, until I had heverything off and apart. I guess it’s a little hard to tell in there honestly.

You say you plumbed it with power beyond, I can do that, but where/how did you route the standard outlet from the loader?

HP line from the pump is cut and routed to the loader valve. PB out of the loader valve goes to the hp line for the 3 point.
You will then have to find a place for a HYD return for fluid to the sump from the loader valve. possibly add a T in your return line to the pump

I believe hoye now sells a device you can add to the HYD fill to add a return line.
I don't know how big of a guy you are and, That may get in the way of getting on and off the tractor.

They do sell something that thread into the hydraulic resivoir and has a banjo return fitting and then the dipstick threads into the top of that all. I have either seen pics of it or on their site?

Good to know that now. Ugh, sometimes I really like Hoye, and other times they drive me nuts. If they would have put on their little “add a loader” kit/instructions that PBY is recommended to reduce pressure interference with the 3PT and mentioned they have that adapter to plumb it correctly, I for sure would have bought it.

I’m going to put an inline check valve in there for now. If that doesn’t work, I’ll order that fill hole adapter thing on Monday.

I see in a prior post reference to a diverter valve on YM240. No.

There is a fitting identical in function to what Hoye sells. In both cases they only allow to loader to be plumbed in series ahead of the 3-point. There is no 'valve', no proportioning or back-pressure control, in these diverter blocks.

My second YM186D does have a separate diverter valve that guarantees minimum pressure to its power steering in addition to its simple diverter block that provides plumbing to its loader, so there is a difference.

Lots of photos, diagrams, advice in this old thread:
https://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/yanmar/221299-loader-plumbing.html (The first YM186D referenced there didn't have a loader, only a loopback hose between the diverter block out/in ports).

I was actually reading that thread last night and this morning!

Actually, I was talking to Dave @ Daves tractors on the phone one day (long ago) and he told me he use to be a yanmar dealer and that, yanmar actually had such a fitting back in the day. for fluid return to the sump.

I don't believe anything like that part hoye sells now, was produced at that time
