I'll keep sending them when I get more. I use the tractor to move all the firewood I process from the logs to the split and dried stuff in the picture above. Once the ground freezes I have a lot of wood to cut and stack. Me and the two labs are ready for an actual winter.

Question, why is the back center section of almost all grapples open?
If it is for visibility then wouldn't expanded metal welded in this area provide protection for the tractor and still provide visibility once the bucket is lifted above the hood?
One of the first things that disturbed me while using a grapple was a limb headed straight for the hoses while clearing brush.
drew a circle around the area in question.

Ever since I had a bit of debris flip open my SSQA lever on my Kioti where I wound up dropping the entire grapple into a slash fire, Everything Attachments has been offering struts in the open area as a safety against what happened to me. These days my slash fire burns go much more smoothly.

Amazing how fast an open fire can burn a pile of dry debris. Nice!

Visibility and weight savings are the two reasons I know of. Adding expanded metal to the tractor grille guard has been a very popular, widespread mod.

Would be a nice photo op for a wicked grapple ;-)...if you need some testing and advertising?!?
Own a 55” WG for a smaller tractor and love it!

Wicked Root Grapple version 1.0 at work (which is also kind of a demo of how to grapple stuff).
