Got 4.25 so far, still raining here... I can't wait to see pastures respond to this, this doesn't happen in August. The slow rain is fantastic, really impacts ground. HS

I checked the gauge yesterday evening, 5" in it and overnight almost another 2". It has been a surprise because we didn't get much heavy rain but a steady rain for the past few days.

We drove less than 10 miles north of the house this morning, into Denton, and ran into a downpour that lasted awhile, water running the down the streets, etc. Got home and not a drop around here. The yard sure needs watering.

I saw the Dr. today. He took the stitches outof my foot, told me I can get it wet, to start putting weight on it and wear what is comfortable. I got home...............changed clothes and put on rubber boots and took Fritz outside...until it stated raining again. We have over 4.5 inches now. I'll have to pump the water back down in the pond, when I start working on it again. Next week hopefully will be light duty at work, as it still hurts to put full weight on it. Still awaiting approval on that.

Election Day is Tuesday Nov 8.

Can you explain why Election Day and you getting to use your 110 is related? You expecting your work to slow down so you can play on the 110?

The rains finally got to us yesterday. I figure we got about 2.3" yesterday and last night, and the radar makes it appear that we're going to be getting a lot more today.

With another 1.2" this morning, that's 3.5" for the 2 days, 3.97" for the month of August. It's wonderful; rain and cool weather in August; just can't be beat.

What happens after Nov. 8th?
hugs, Brandi

My guess,
2bit is running for office and after the election he will have more time off from putting up signs, kissing babies, making speeches and debating.

We have had 6-7 inches since last weekend. When I get back on my feet and in the CAT.................I'll have to break out the Honda pump first, and pump the pond down.
