Well I got my hay fields cut.. found a piece of steel,
Lou

Was the piece of steel in the shape of a golf club? Didn't your son and his friends use the field a while back for a driving range?
Seems odd an established hay field produced a piece of steel.

Brandi,, I don't think it produced it.. think it came off a piece of my equipment.. I am always missing a nut or bolt.. lol.. but I did make a new door at the cost of about 130 dollars vs 1385 from the Montana dealer in Oklahoma.. it is not a heavy as the glass door but it keeps the bugs out and the cold air in..

Robby you been keeping up with our local evens? Someone out Jones Creek way spotted big foot,, She said it threw a fish at her,, The expert,, on big foot travels.. lol.. Said they are migrating,, headed to the hill country I guess.. Anyway with all of our technology and google earth (of course) we have not been able to spot him or her.. I wonder if they are interested in running for office?.. We would never see them or hear from them.. Wait maybe they are in office.. Lou

Is it time to re-open the Spring & Summer thread? I figured it must be since I've noticed the Blue Bonnets in bloom here in my neighborhood a couple of days ago and along Spur 408 in SW Dallas this morning.

Dang, you mean I'm a week ahead of time. I'm gonna blame it on those Blue Bonnets.

Yep, my Bluebonnets are early this year too Mr. Bird. Guess it's warm winter and lots of soil moisture.

Talk to you again, next week.

35 degrees with a frost advisory isn't my favorite way of starting Spring.

Texas is notorious for that last frost around Easter.

Texas is notorious for that last frost around Easter.

This is absolutely true, I always tell my wife there will be one last front around the end of March, usually it comes with a nice little frost to kill new plants. This winter was so mild that we only dipped down to 40* this year. I know this is the last one though, because the Mesquite trees are full leafed in South Texas and all the red oaks are in full leaf around Houston. Never did get cold enough for the pansies and stuff this winter, we should have just left our Vincas in the ground. The few we had in pots are still blooming from last summer.
