This is just one spot ... The north side has a wash at least 2' deep and about 400' the run of the drive.

Blueriver, I see lots of dirt/gravel/resettting work in your future.

We have been in a flash flood warning all morning and 3 miles south of us had 8" this morning, I suspect Kyle had about the same. However being on the dry side of the creek we had only 1/2" this morning.

(Two hours later)
Kyle decided to share, it's still coming down hard and we are at 3" . . . . I can't believe we have not lost the internet connection . . .

Got lawn mowed around the house at the ranch and spread some fertilizer. Now ready for a bit of rain.

We had over 28" of rain from last week in March to end of April so just finally got to start mowing pastures but, have to keep a lookout for fawns laying up In deep grass. Pasture I worked on last three days was about 18" high since I'm over three weeks late cutting it. Still better than 2011!

BR,
Once you have it back driveable...........straighten out the down stream 50 feet or so to take out that wicked looking bend or elbow. Use lots of riprap.

We got just under 3 inches today. Intense enough to fill both ponds. Again, I'm watching all that water drain away and thinking......I need another pond.

Folks its been a rough week ... a little over 14" total rain fall. Driveway has completely washed out ... today I'll take out a section of fence hoping to gain access to the road.....however I'm afraid the ground is so saturated I won't make it.

Stay safe ... looks like 2 days of no rain and then get hammered again.

BR-- Be careful out there having to operate in that mud. Just about the time it dries out a little it turns to "Mud City" again. On Sunday afternoon I was able to get a few things done around the house. But then Sunday nite when the tornadoes hit Van and we got 2 3/8 inches of rain on some still soaked ground that pretty much brings us to a screeching halt. Today is the only day with a chance on no or scattered rain, then more rain for the rest of the week. I stepped out in the garden yesterday and sunk up to my calf.

I was driving my golf cart on my black land dam yesterday and all the sudden I lost steering, I looked down and saw the front ties caked with mud layered all the way to the frame and they were not turning and only acting only as sliding skids.
My Accurate weather station rain gauge said 3.8" however my official CoCoRahs rain gauge measured 2.78" for the last 24 hours.

We've had sprinkles, but no accumulation. They keep saying we're going to get it, but so far everything has diverted around us.
