Good day today! cleaned up 1200' of overgrown fence line and knocked it back 5' so I can mow with the tractor. In the a.m. I can repair the wire where the neighbors tree fell and broke it.
Suppose to rain thurs so maybe I can get food plot seed put out in the afternoon. Gotta love these temps just made for working outside.

I'm going to miss summer!! :(

I sure won't miss summer! I'll just be glad for the cooler weather. I WOULD like for it to say above freezing, but anywhere from 35 to 55 is just wonderful.

Finally getting some rain here! HS

Getting pretty good storm now myself. Power has been out a while also...

Sseelhoff, do you live in the desert. I've seen many posts where it was raining elsewhere but you don't get it. Reminds me of 2011 when we didn't get any. Pasture was basically dirt.

I got about .47" of rain yesterday afternoon, which is more than I got the whole month of September. But fortunately hail, wind damage, and power outages missed this area.

The storm came in yesterday evening and we got 1 1/4" at the house. We were in Mineola when it struck and I think they got more than we did as it was coming down hard and we had to drive 40 mph all the way home. It was a thin line of storms and it moved through rather quickly in time for a beautiful Sunset.

Lots of wind a lightning and the Electric Co-op had over 5400 outages(675 still out this morning). We dodge that bullet and only lost the satellite for a little while.

We are, however, really proud of the rainfall.

We got 1.3 inches of rain. I thought we retired this thread until spring. What's up with this?

It's Texas in September. It can be Summer and Fall. Just depends on the day. Or time of day.

No, just that far behind. :D

I was taking notes yesterday, and actually started to date them for August. I'm ready for a break. If only things would slow down.

Maybe we just should start a thread for each season because it is hard to post on a thread with winter in the title when it still over 90˚.(especially when some are a month behind):D Brandi you are right We are posting in the wrong seasonal thread maybe after the cool temps in the morning the switch back will stick. Oh, we got .85" rain last night - mowed today - and still dusty, dusty, dusty.

2" here over night and was still dusty mowing here too.

I really miss summer. Here in Kansas we have snow and it's only 25F right now. Supposed to get more snow today. Supposed to get warmer though this week. So I'll be happier.

I'm just so tired of freezing. Though when it does get summer I'll be cursing at the summer heat and wishing for it to cool down again. lol

Then the cycle will begin again. It'll be winter again and I'll be cursing once again at the freezing weather wishing summer will be here. :)

60 to 70F year round would be nice temps for me. Not too hot nor too cold.

I'd like a little warmer weather myself. My 5"rain gauge filled up with snow yesterday. It's finally up to 30 degrees officially and some of the snow is melting now.

it is 54 degrees here.. I feel your pain.. but not the cold.. sorry,, kick them while they are cold.. Lou

Brandi-- Nice looking plow in any color. Raining here this morning and with the snow melt it will be a while before it will dry out enough do much in the dirt. More rain most of this week, but we'll always take what rain the Lord gives us. But MUD Season will be here for a while.

To All Texans everywhere: Tomorrow is March 2nd..............HAPPY TEXAS INDEPENDENCE DAY!!!!

God Bless Texas and God Bless Sam Houston(it's the anniversary of his birthday too).
