If that guy shows up often enough tomorrow, I'm thinking of quitting my day job! :cool2:

If you see a paint truck pull into your place before high noon tomorrow, you'll know why he forgot (?) and left his clipboard in *********:D

I told my wife BettyLouThemaLiz.. That eaten at the Sonic was like eaten at the Old Drive end theater .. you can eat inside or eat in your car but at the Sonic it's without a movie.. She didn't go for it so I had to get reservation at the Texas Road House.. The food was delicious and expensive.:licking:. plus a quarter tip.. She was 65 today.. she tells everyone that she is 75 and they all say you good look for 75.:dance1:. I use it also.. I tell everyone that I am 77.. and they say,, **** that must have been a long dirt road.. being dragged behind a tractor at a slow speed.. The truth hurts sometimes.. but I live with it.:drink:. Lou

Sonic?? Lou, you sure do think mighty highly of that girl!! I think they even require you to wear shoes in that place now!! I guess the "bright side" is you only have to "dress up" for this evening:D

And brother Lou, splurge on taking a vehicle, a special day like this deserves more than a ride on a tractor!!!

What? you got to get dressed up?.. Lou

Since it's Friday the 13th, maybe Sonic is you best bet, so you don't have to get out of the car and take unnecessary chances.

Bird that's what I was thinking.. plus a penny saved is a penny earned.. Man did that back fired.. Lou

Count me out doing any dancing this weekend. My daughter called at 2 and told me they were on the way...............a day before schedule.............and would be staying until Monday. So I get to spoil my Grandbaby all weekend.
Bad thing was I loaded the tractor on the trailer this morning to take it to the welding shop to get a clevis eye mount welded on the bucket for the BH grader blade retention chain. By the time I got the tractor, trailer, and truck bedded down, it was two pm and had been up 22.5 hours and my daughter was calling saying they were on the way. So I took a quick bath and a two hour nap. Wow, kids can still mess my schedule up! I love it!!

Jinman- Your reading my mind. I have some Shiner Bock that will be perfect for today's Dance-a-thon.

FG- I've got my warpaint ready and my mocassins on. Although I know I like your dancin' shoes better(on you).

So everybody batten down the hatches and get ready for a real blow after the dancin' starts. You've been warned. I think I need to start limbering up, wouldn't want to pull anything. Any Volunteers that want to join in are welcome. Starting time is High Noon and the festivities will be over when the Shiner runs out.

May the Rain Gods be good to us.

Charlie

We got a little shower of rain yesterday afternoon that wet the deck well and made the grass wet. It was less than a tenth of an inch, but welcome anyhow. It came late enough in the day that it didn't all evaporate immediately. I think we may have had a few drops overnight because my deck is damp this morning too.

Today is my birthday, 66. I quit-tired from my job just over 5 years ago. Time flies. . . . Today, my daughter is coming to take us to dinner and will have my great-grandson with her. He just turned 4 months old. My granddaughter has to work today, so she is sending my great-grandson in her place.:D So, if Brandi can show her grandbaby pictures, so can I. Here's a couple of Noah.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JINMAN!!!!

Enjoy your grandbaby too!

I pushed the mower around the lawn this morning. It didn't need much, except in a couple of places. I think the only thing green was some grassburs, so the hoe and I took out all of those that we found. Now, I am ready to put on my dancing shoes, and bring on the rain! :cool2:

Happy birthday Jim.
I wonder if there are any pictures of great-grandpa floating around in a shoe box at that age? It is always interesting to compare the facial features with past generations, and there is usually a strong similarity to someone. Both of my grandfathers and all of my great grandfathers were dead before I arrived but through genealogy research and old family shoe box pictures I have been able to locate pictures of most of them.
You are so fortunate to get to know your grandkids and great grandkids. Be sure there are plenty of multi-generation family pictures of you all now so they can treasure them in the future.
You were the very first to respond to my request for help on a blue tractor problem and I have noticed you have done your best to offer your knowledge and experience to many other folks on TBN concerning tractor problems.
Many of us have enjoyed your garden and pond projects as well as your humorous remarks.
Keep rokin that anchor,
Ron
