Charlie, you've been waiting for a "wash" like that!! Now you might actually be able to see where you've mowed when you get started:laughing:

Don, I'll mention this, but I know you have it covered. Good to be current on Rabies vacs for pets in the country that "tangle" with the locals:laughing: Sounds to me like a coon, even more so if you've had visitors at the pool. Stealthcams have a very good reputation in the hunting community< I have had poor luck with Moultrie products, so I avoid them like the plague. Wildlife Innovations are reasonably priced, (sold at WalMart), but have been hit or miss for me. I bet one of those would do fine on your pourch.
Whatever you get, make sure and get an SD card or two, much more convenient to swap out cards and view on your PC.

Western, All pets are spayed and have all their yearly vaccinations, I've seen more than one rabid coon acting drunk in the middle of the day. I don't know if was fermented grapes or rabies but my pets are covered. Thanks for the suggestions on the wildlife camera.

I just started a new project and thought "this looks familiar". If you can figure what I'm making out of old fencing you should be a detective. (Hint it is not a wooden ratchet rake.)

Hmm. . . a comb for the jolly green giant? 1/2 of a string trellis? Sand screed for purdy-purdy around your pool? Am I gettin' warm? Give us a hint: House? Pool? Yard? Garden?

Last week I got home to find some equipment on my property. There was a well here when I bought the place. The well was capped a couple of years ago. So, we get rain one morning, and later that day, they show up, cutting ruts in the pasture. There was no one around over the weekend, for me to talk to, so I "assumed" they were going to re-open the well, and were getting ready to frack. Got home today, and they are out working. So, I went down to talk to someone and get info, since I have livestock in that pasture. Foreman is a nice (and cute) guy, and let me know, they are filling the well with concrete and I'll actually get to use that area for grazing too! Not expected to take but a few days. The well is going away COMPLETELY. I told him if he wanted to "leave" some of the pipe behind when the job is finished, I could "use" it. He informed me, anything they left, would be mine, but would likely need to be "cut". Told him that's no problem, I happen to have access to a cutting torch! Maybe I can get a few fence "H" posts out of the whole ordeal! :D

Now, I have to admit, I'll be glad to have an entire slew of workers off of the property, but if it takes more than a few days, that's OK too. The foreman really is nice "eye candy"!

Thanks, Jim it gives me a starting point.

A flower bed border?

OK, the picture of the wooden indian blanket is on post #2086. The wood rake was cut in half and used as the end fringes of the blanket. Each fence board was painted a different pattern to obtain "the look". ((indian blanket for house art))

Wood taken out of the burn pile - $0
Paint and supplies - $18. (Paint was 8oz samples from Lowe's)
Two thumbs up from my wife - Priceless.

We responded to a small grass fire this evening. Hay cutting and hitting rocks in this dry county is all that is needed to start a fire. There still is a lot of dry uncut winter grass/rye grass around.

Dennis--Not only can you see what you've cut but the rows seem much straighter.

Yesterday's harvest: The yellow tomatoes are Lemon Boys, so are supposed to be yellow. They were not picked too early! The rest are heirlooms.

Nice looking stuff. It's interesting the variation in the shapes of your crook neck squash. That size should be very tender and tasty. Do the yellow lemon boy tomatoes have a milder taste than red tomatoes? I'm growing yellow bell cherry tomatoes and they are milder with less acid.

We picked about a dozen cherry tomatoes and 2 gallons of green beans and 2 gallons of snow peas yesterday morning along with three zucs and three cucumbers. I could harvest my peppers now (banana, jalapeno, and bell peppers), but I'm waiting for them to get really big. I found one ripe tomato, but it had a quarter sized spot of blossom end rot on it. I think the big rains and watering shock has produced some stress on my better boys because they are the only ones with BER. I've found about 8 BER tomatoes so far, but the rest look pretty good.

FG19, shoot, your already picking full meals like Jim! aint fair!:banghead: I like mornings too (nice photos) but I seem to not see many.

Don, nice design and great use and creativity of material! have a light over it ? One of theses days I will show y'all some of the art work I used to do (and hopefully will do again soon).

Drove to Galveston yesterday for a sandblasting job, expected to put in a 16hr day/night. If something can go wrong it did, worked just over an hour and the lights go out?? At a place that has been scheduled and screaming for the work to be done for 2 WEEKS! I'm most certainly the most aggravated person on the darn sandbar!!!!!!!!!!!!! Definitely the last person some of the "nightlife" walking around here wants to PO. Gawd I wish I could retire and go help Jim with all those water hoses:laughing:

jinman; The Lemon Boys are milder, less acidic, and a little sweeter, IMO. I also like the little yellow pear tomatoes, but I eat those while I am out picking everything else, so doubt y'all will see pics of those!
