Ha, yeah I sprayed my bait corn down with diesel to keep the deer away from mine.

And like you said, trapping really does seem to be the better option. You can catch more and don't have to be actively involved (aka sitting out there until 3am) to catch 'em.

My corn has been soaked in diesel for weeks in 5gallon buckets, deer still eating the corn. I also put some hog wild in with the corn. We have built the big round pens and put a feeder inside that goes off at night before, this allows the deer to still be able to jump out,may have to start on one of them instead of the smaller traps. They have been at all times of day, hard to get a pattern on.

Haha, man... deer just loooove corn, don't they? I cut mine off for the spring, because they were turning into ravenous fiends!

I've had deer in our trap, too, but I've had the door wide open to get the pigs comfy. The coons get in, too, but they seem to find their way out.

I'm training my pigs to do math. They know how to multiply but have trouble subtracting. The neighbors are trying to help but the pigs just don't get it they have an attention deficit disorder.
I may have to send them to Eddie's so Oscar and tutor them. The classroom has max out to fifty. :D

My mom's husband has been killing them. He gets one regularly, at 8pm. My dogs love the backstraps! Cut them into long pieces and cook them in the crock-pot. Add the veggies, and the dogs have several meals! Seems that once one is killed, in a couple of evenings, another boar comes in at the 8pm time slot, to get the corn. As long as they keep coming, the dogs will keep eating pork!

As my grandmother would have said, "those dogs are eating high on the hog!"

My dogs always do, texasjohn! They never get processed, prepackaged food. I home cook for them, just as I do for myself. In fact, they usually eat much better than I do!
