Wow! It's 60 F here this morning and foggy with a huge dew on the grass. This is just not right for August.:confused2: Maybe those Mayans were onto something. ;) :D

Same here (well, 61 degrees, but that's close enough:laughing:). I just got back from taking the dog for a walk in the woods and it sure was nice; cool and damp.

Brandi, your "tank" is coming along great! At least the weather has become milder, so outdoor chores are a bit more enjoyable. We didn't get a drop yesterday, but the rain seemed to be wide spread. We are heading into one of my 2 favorite, times of year in N. Texas, Fall.

For the dove hunters. I have seen more dove in the past few weeks than I think I have seen in 2 years, the rains have brought back the vegetation around my house to near springtime status.

Driving to Cleburne TX today, we saw flocks as big as 20-30 in a bunch. I have a food plot to disc and plant by Sept, but I will be on the road for 5 weeks. When I get home I will be under the gun to get the Oats in. I have allot of Dove weed, but the majority of dove we saw today where in the wild sunflower fields, they where thick.

I either have been seeing lots of dove at my ponds, or there is a family living right near the fence. I see some every time I go outside. They sure stir up the memories of dove and quail hunting with Dad.:tombstone:
hugs, Brandi
