I don't know how much rain we got.. Here at the house in Lake Jackson.. cause my neighbor's tree limb took out my rain gauge.. but I would think a couple of inches on the low side.. But more is coming.. rain not limbs.. The funny thing is,, he is the one that gave me the gauge... Lou

I guess the rain will get here today, not much yesterday. Looks like we'll be on the east side as it rolls through, so it could get very wet, but we're as ready as we can be.

It was coming down pretty heavy just a short time ago, but has really slacked up now. I can see that my rain gauge has about an inch and a half so far.

Got about 1.75 in gauge from over night. Letting up here too. Got more wind than I expected. Some down limbs but nothing big. Measure 2.25 total for storm. Contrary to the media fuss we'll take all we can get, breaking and putting water in reserves after a drought unseen in 115 years is prime. HS

My rain gauge is now up to 2.25" and we're still getting a pretty heavy rain.

6" rain gauge overflowed. Best guess is over 10" as swimming pool was down about 10" and is now full. Outer bands started coming through about 6 pm yesterday with big winds and rain from 7 pm to almost 9 pm. Had a few gusts over 45 mph.

Several dead trees blown down in pastures. That will save pushing them down with tractor. Still raining here.

We got 1 1/2 inches yesterday with some wind, but a lot less than they were predicting. Looking at the radar this morning it looks like we might miss what's left of these storms. Hurricanes suck.......but Tropical Depressions are very good........and I'm not the least bit depressed.

Before it was all over, I got almost three and a quarter inches; maybe 3.23".

Went over to the land today.. which is 10 miles from our home.. just to check on things.. don't know how much rain we got over there.. I only have a 6 inch rain gauge and it was full,, so I thinking over 6 inches.. maybe wrong cause some of that rain was coming down sideways.. may have landed somewhere else.. I don't think you can count it if it crosses your land and lands on your neighbors pasture.. Lou

Denise has a business meeting in Boston next week so we're headed up there on Saturday. Their weather can be really nice this time of year. Highs in the low 80's......I'm digging that, it will be good to get away from this heat but the humidity has really bothered me this year.

I traveled to Boston a lot back in the day so we're looking forward to doing the tourist thing for a couple of days. When I worked up there I never had time to see the sights......just work. Great Restaurant town, looking forward to some great Seafood and some cooler weather.

I've only been to Boston once. I flew in, worked all evening on our DC-9, had lobster in the airport hotel (I think it was a Hilton) around midnight, just before the restaurant closed............then the next morning the Captain and I ran the engines after curfew was lifted. Then we flew out. I never left the airport!

Brandi--My travels into Boston years ago were a little better that that, but not much. I was opening a restaurant and working pretty hard, Hiring, Training, looking for vendors etc. After opening I traveled in every so often to keep an eye on what was happening. I ate out at night but I never got to do the tourist thing with all the History in Boston. Still there will be plenty of sampling the Boston restaurant scene.......that just can't be helped, but I'm also looking forward to a change in weather(been there in the winter.....I'll pass).

I don't think so. I had King Crab and my daughter had Lobster, at Joe's Crab Shack in Austin, a few weeks ago.
