1.3 inches rain here overnight. Parts of Conroe got 4 inches. Somewhere around Willis a tornado dropped down briefly.

Bird, I had to mow my yard after the little rain last week, almost like thats what it was waiting for. I'm sure you will be mowing the neighborhood this week sometime after today's rain

You're sure right about that, Dennis. I mowed our yard Saturday, but didn't do any trimming or edging, but right now both ours and the one next door are in dire need of mowing. I told my wife, she could just stand out there a few minutes and see the grass grow if she wanted to. So I'll be cutting lots of grass and a few weeds tomorrow.

FG19, can work as "fuel" in a pinch, if it's high enough proof:laughing:

Brandi, good rain for you !! how do the ponds look?? more rain like that and you'll be putt'n out more dye:laughing: Conroe, doesn't surprise me at all, since thats all it did when I was trying to work there and as far as the tornado, I'm glad you dont know where it was, means it wasn't on your place.

Bird, your 100% right, mowed mine 4 days ago and it needs it again, it isn't a "manicured city lawn" but when it looks like me after not shav'n for 3 days, it's time to mow:laughing: Incidentally I was moving the mower to put some gas in it and the front drivers side wheel broke off:confused3: (push mower) Found some wheels online for less than $30 shipped, but I should replace the whole darn thing if it cant keep its own wheels on:laughing: like mowing with a tricycle with a flat:D Been a decent mower for a cub cadet, bought it in 2003

Dennis,
Both ponds came up about 6 inches, but are still 2 foot down. Well, it could have been close by, as I was at Hobby at the time. Everything is green here, but could use about 3 days straight of that over an inch rain.

You got that right, a slow 3-4 day soaker would get us all back in business. We would have to find Jim sump'n to do though:laughing:

This morning, it was overcast, 67 degrees, and no rain in the NWS forecast until a 20% chance tonight. So I got an early start with the string trimmer, edging and trimming. But the humidity at 90% made my safety glasses keep fogging up. But I got done with that, then got on the ZTR and was mowing while watching the sky that looked like rain coming from the west, but it didn't. Anyway I got done with the yards in about 3 hours, so I'd like to see more rain now.

Surely his Mrs. has a "honey do" list of things that need repair, or work in the house! Maybe he stays more caught up that the rest of us!

Are you kiddin'? I'd sort my sock drawer and make belly button lint stuffed animals for three days straight of rain.
