Does not look good on the news. Glad there are no problems for anyone.
My son called from NC to tell me about his trucking friends that got caught in the Dallas area weather. Wanted to make sure we had not moved up to Sunset yet. We are still enjoying the upper 80 here.

Nuthin' scary here. Our bluebonnets are all happy faced and thankful for the drink. We were gonna take pictures this afternoon, but it was just a bit too wet. We got about 1/4" total out of this. The only wind/hail I saw was on TV.

Yeah RON!!! Nothing ever happens in Sunset Texas!!:D

It is amazing that no one was killed, I have never before seen 50,000# semi trailers go "airborne" like that. 5-600' in the air! my mind was telling my eyes it's a magic trick. Overall, DFW was fortunate.

Looks like Eddie and the boys East of Dallas are getting some of this too,

This is my sisters car in Coppell, not so far from Bird. Has he said anything?

The city's Code Red system has called our home phone 3 times and my cell phone once with tornado warnings, but fortunately so far just a nice rain and it's coming straight down; no wind at all at this point. Looks like my gauge has about 15" so far, but still a moderately heavy rain falling.

We've been watching Channel 8 and feel sorry for some of those people. It appears to all be over for us, and all we got was a very nice .3" of rain, straight down, a little thunder, but no wind and very little lightning. Couldn't have asked for a better lawn watering. Glad I used my hedge shears on the shrubs in front of the house before it started.

You know Bird, working on someones yard till he gets run off:laughing: Your sis sure got the hail, heard of some that large, but thats the 1st I've seen. My "marble size" hail seems insignificant compared to that!

we made it through the storms without any damage thankfully.they say there was a twister on our road, but i havent found out where.now last year was a differant story,as we saw 2 twisters drop down out of the clouds a lil an then go back up in the clouds with no damage.

BRAGGER ALERT! If you don't like to hear people braggin', just skip over this post.:D

My bluebonnets are SPECTACULAR! This year's flowers are the best ever. They've also spread out over a wider area. Last year's crop was almost a complete bust, so the seeds must have been there from the year before. I can easily say that scraping sod with the seeds in it and spreading around has been a complete success. I had no bluebonnets here before and now I have bluebonnets that make people slow and stop on the county road to look at them. I'm gonna call this project a great success.

The first four pictures below are my bluebonnets. The last two photos are bluebonnets on the ROW of Hwy 287 just south of Bowie, Tx. I've never seen white "bluebonnets" before; yet, here they are. This is just one small patch and there are many other much bigger patches. I've never seen them anywhere else.
