temporary yellow strobe options

I need some ideas for a yellow flasher / strobe or rotating lamp I can put on my truck and use for limited situations.

many times at night I'll be packing up gear from work,loading off a curb, and then driving back to the office to unload.

I always use hazards.. but sometimes i'm on a site with other construction vehicles, and having a lil extra visibility for my truck, when it is stopped / with trailer on would be nice.

hazards and all side markers work.. have dot reflective tape on rear / side of trailer.. as well as marker lamps.. etc.

would like to find some temp lamp I can just whip out and go.. perhaps a mag or suction cup mount.

any of these bat powered? led?

that would be the best option.. high brite led bat powered stronbe.. no wires.. slap it on.. load and go.. etc.

otherwise I will have to tap some power.. perhaps off the spare 7 pin in the rear of the truck. I have one in the bed, and one at the rear hitch, for bumper pull setup or gn/5th wheel....

options / opinions?

I got a Whelen LED emerg light for the tractor and they come with magnetic and/or rubber suction mounts with 15' cigarette lighter plugs.

EBAY also has 1000's of rotating or LED style mag mount lights anywhere from $10 - $1,000

I have a few of those, All of them are magnetic and just plug into the 12 volt outlet (cig lighter)
I have one double wide on my truck that stays all the time, the wire is plugged in the outlet and has a switch right on the plug. I also have a smaller one on the tractor rops.

You can get one for as little as 30 bucks or the sky is the limit on the high side.

I really like my light on the tractor. I went with LED cause the circuit i tied into was only 10 amps and included the cig lighter. I hooked mine onto a rocker switch instead of the cig lighter though. All wiring is hidden that way, except for the wire outside. This wire is a 3 pronged trailer flat plug for easy removal come summer.. For a temp situation i wouldn't have cared.

i'd want one that doesn't need to plug into the cab.. I don't wany doors or windows open.. or wires shut in doors.. will eed to be battery powered.. or something I can hookup to a dummy 7 pin and plug into my spare trailer socket..

You could do that, you wont find a battery powered (wireless) one that is any good.

I've had mine in the weather strip of my door for years with no problem. Are you planning on leaving the light and wire on and connected all the time.

If so, might as well hard wire to a switch in the cab. if just temporary use just use the cig lighter.

I've got a quad cab and have the wire come down thru one of the back doors, down behind the weather strip and under the seat to the center console, can't even see the wire. The wires are usually long enough for this.

I don't use mine that often, but comes in handy sometimes, like backing out into a busy street. The only problem is most people do not respect yellow warning lights as much as you might hope for. They have become desensitized, with so many out there.
