Subsoiler for Yanking Rocks?

One of the best lines I ever heard on the TBN was calling a single shank ripper by its proper name:

Utility Line Locator, Non-Discriminating

That's exactly what it is and better be 100% sure where everything is underground. Old timers liked to run electric to outbuildings by going just a few inches underground.

That doesnt narrow things down much. Backhoes fit that bill just as well. Box blades to a lesser degree.

Very true. But, you can cover 50 feet with a ripper in mere moments. That raises odds of probability of hitting paydirt.

I was working with my 7 shank chisel plow recently and I don't know how many flag stones I dug up. Had it down to about 8in. depth.

A subsoiler is what I essentially use to pull up rocks. Albeit it's mounted on the back of a dozer. ;)

My property is full of rocks as well. The best way to get them out of the ground is with an excavator, but the ripper works pretty well too.

I've had problems with ripper shanks close to the tractor. The boulder can get trapped between the tractor and implement. You can't drive forward or backwards. Spend 10 minutes maneuvering to get out of the trap.

Maybe you don't have rocks that large.

If they are really large, then...

I know I am late to this post but wanted some advice. I am getting a 70 hp tractor and wanted to use a Subsoiler for pulling rocks. I am considering either of these:

RS15 Series Ripper Shanks | Land Pride

Or I getting a heavy hitch draw bar receiver and adding this

Ripper / Middle Buster Plow / Subsoiler Plow / Potato Plow

Does anyone have an experience with either of these or can provide some advice?
A 70hp tractor will destroy that heavy hitch impliment. It's a cat0 or Cat1 impliment designed for something topping out at 45hp or so. What Category 3 Point Hitch Do I Have? hook anything at all with a Cat1 impliment on a 70hp tractor that has weight & traction you'd expect from a 70hp machine & it will twist things into a pretzel or snap it off.

Category 1/2 but everything I have is category 2.

The land pride ripper is rated for 35 to 80 hp. Do you think that won’t work either?

I got a set of these to pull rocks and they are amazing. I have pulled up lava rocks that are huge.
