I tried that the other day and can try it again tomorrow. I had a bad angle and couldn't perceive any movement but can try that again
Other than the head removed, have you split the tractor? I only say this since splitting the tractor would remove any doubt the transmission is preventing the engine from spinning.I might even dump a can of coke in each cylinder
You and I have the same hunch about something else not letting the engine to freely turn. Splitting the tractor is the only way to eliminate the question. And if this is the case, the repair can be way cheaper to fix overall. That all looks very clean and good.
I have to wonder if there is something else locked up in that engine.
In or under the flywheel, maybe the wrong bolts used in a pressure plate or something in the front gears.
I would not be so pessimistic. It seems to me that you have already demonstrated quite a bit of competence. People here can help if it is necessary, at least with advice. That may be the case, which I hope it isn't. That will be outside of my ability
Is there any way you can pry gently on one of the crank eccentrics to see if it will rotate at all? Put the tractor in neutral first of course.I think it looks pretty darn good in there. View attachment 877503View attachment 877504View attachment 877505
I am kinda curious though, how fast (typically) should this fluid move past the rings? In an unstuck engine, how fast would the cylinders
Air pressure. While you have the head off set up a way you can go through the Inj. Port. How it gets Fuel to the Cyl.. Diesel will hold a huge amount of Pressure. My Ford when I was bought the Pressure was 115 PSI gas. On a Yanmar Here is what you should be.How would I pressure up the cylinder?
