I would not be adverse to sitting piece of 2x on the piston and giving it a good rap with a hammer.

Clutch works fine. I have not drained the oil yet. That will be on the to do list. I have to get a filter for it and will probably just use some Mobil delvac I have on hand to replace oil with when I get to that point. I may let it sit for another week before I do anything more to it. I will try getting at the flywheel and advancing it that way if possible in a week or so, if that doesn't work, I will pull the head again and start tapping.

Your going to need rings. Since the clutch isn't stuck. Don't break a piston!! Try moving the fly wheel through the starter before I would go beating anything. Quite aFew times............

Or just tow it and bump it with the clutch while in high gear.

I figured I would buy some rings and maybe a 75mm hone to knock off any buildup that could be around potential rusted rings. I tried popping clutch in 6th gear to no avail, however when I did it I was on gravel and not pavement

That's a good enough try in my book, and I think rings and a hone might be prudent, but I would consider pulling the oil pan while you wait for the filter to see if there is anything visible there.

Sometimes tractors get parked for a reason...

All the best,

Well, I just pulled the dipstick and I am starting to smell some of the ATF/xylene mix in the oil. Just a faint smell, so it is starting to work it's way down.
