I’ve gotten stuck lots of times before (and the folks kubota on the farm in my youth). Having the backhoe to let me shimmy has made me get too bold. This time I right truly screwed up

If you work wet ground getting stuck is part of life. Getting out can be quite the education.
Good Luck
Well said. (y)

Stucks happen.

What worked against me in this case was the long travel suspension, making it quite hard to lift the rear out. It kept slipping back into the holes.

Another drawback was having the dozer blade installed. Instead of being able to lift the front with the bucket and slide on it, the blade dug in when the rear was high enough.

Oh well, pulled it out with the other one. Now there's an 18K winch on the stuck one, which would've allowed me to winch while driving it out instead of pulling dead weight.

I pulled this one out last year with my 40 mini excavator. That one put up quite a fight being dead. I’ve pulled my own skid steer a few times and it’s easy when it’s still running.

Only a few get to have all the fun. What you need to buy next is a tank retriever.
What I did get isn't a tank retriever, but close enough for my needs.

If the 10-ton crane or the rear 45,000-lb. winch and a couple of snatch blocks won't do the job, I have real problems.

Does that truck have some kind of anchoring system, so it doesn't just pull itself toward the stuck vehicle?

One advantage of little SCUT'S is they aren't as hard to pull out, used my pickup for recovery ... After the walk of shame to go get it!
