Up to 03 or so. My E-free was yellow like diesel. I used to have to make sure I didnt get wrong one before mixing.

IMHO it's your E-free gas doing that for ya.

All I use on OPE and boat. Never a issue with it.

It's not the gas. In my climate, a saw will clog just fine with ethanol-free gas. It just takes longer.

Most people don't know this, but ethanol is not the only problem with modern gas.

I've been spending the money on pre-mixed fuel. Yeah, it's not cheap, but everything starts quickly. I only use about a gallon and a half each year, most of it in the fall and early winter, so it works for me. I do use Startron in all the 4 stroke stuff, though.

Today's prices since going up this year even higher is now 4.79 a gal.

90 octane "REC GAS" e-free is 3.49 at local Circle K. Sometimes they run out and I go to a BP station that has 89 e-free. They are usually .20-.30 higher

How to tell your Efree is really efree and no percentage of ethanol in it. It will look like this after a quick test.

I do this ob every batch I buy.

How do you tell if it's e-free when at the pump to buy? I thought of this today as I was filling up my truck at Chevron, looked all over the pump and saw nothing but the octane ratings. The average guy just doesn't have much choice these days. I know that aviation gas is supposed to be e-free but it's hard to find where to buy that too? (as an average joe buyer). Just curious.

Old pic when was cheaper years back.

Our places use separate pump and hose.

Can search here for reported Efree stations. Pure-gas.org - ethanol-free gasoline in the U.S. and Canada
