Hi folks,
It's been awhile and all is good. I only have 20 hours on the tractor, but that's because we still have Curtis plowing. I've gotten the tractor out 3 times getting use to moving snow. I made a pretty good mess the first time.
The last couple of time I've had great improvement. I have to say I like the blading better then the bucket. I need to make friendly with the bucket and will practice that more. I'm feeling confident I'll be able to take over next year and save some bucks. Snow sure is a different element to move around.
Everyone is hunkered down for the cold snap here.
I do have to complain about one thing and that's the road commisions budget around here stinks! Enough money for the primary road to be salted and what they think are secondary I have to disagree with. I'm so tired of the ice on the roads. Make for a long slow haul and hoping the other guy is doing the same and not slidding into you ya.

Take care and stay warm for those who are feeling this Artic blast.

Hey Appygirl, glad to see you're still around.

I find the rear blade most effective for general snow removal. I use the FEL bucket mostly when I've accumulated a pile or I have to see precisely where I'm working. You should have a float setting on the FEL that will let the bucket scrape the surface - but you may get some gravel/dirt/grass along with that scraping, so use carefully!

Hey Z, how are you doing down there!
Yep I have the float setting to use. Its only 4 outside and need more snow to get me motivated to get out again:D .
Horses are all fine and with alot of extra hay this week. They are all busy playing so all is good. My 07 filly has done some growning and has a great winter coat.
I've been marking up the calendar for some great rides to go on plus a couple of clinics to go too. Can't wait! Sure hope hubby's schedule will allow for most of it. I'm planning on going a MTRA ride that will be from the 13th to the 29th of June. Its my first and getting lots of tips from the members. Its 251 miles going from east to west, which is good since I live on the west side and won't take long at all to get home afterwards.
HOpe all is well down your way.
