We went to Galveston for Christmas and woke up to 4" of snow. This was the first white Christmas EVER recorded in Galveston.
The last snow in Galveston was in 1989 when we were still living there and it was only 1" or so.
Made a special trip by the Grandkids house to see their snowman before we headed home to Jasper. At 13 and 12 years old they had never seen snow before so they were thrilled.
The funniest sight was a snowman on the beach holding a surfboard. Wish I had remembered to take the camera.
I was less thrilled since I lived in Albuquerque, NM for 6 years when I was a kid and Charlotte and I saw 6" of snow on September 18th of this year while staying in Black Hawk, CO.
Unlike those of you who own snowblowers, us Texans are not prepared for this stuff. I have never even seen a snowblower.
