Amazing as it seems, my Yamaha with aftermarket street tires worked flawlessly, even in wet snow, as long as I kept it moving in 2+ inches, not a problem up to 2" and keeping up with it.
Adding the winch enabled me to raise the plow and stack the snow. Manual was only 1.5 -s
I also put a split, 2 kerosene wide, in a 2" white PVC to eliminate tearing up my lawn when I stacked the snow. 1st yr with winch, 3rd winter in all.
I fabed a frame to bolt to my cart frame, with a lot of measuring and dry fitting the newly fabed cross frame and tabs before welding the new blade frame tabs to the cart frame. Now just two pins and a winch Clovis, and it's ready to go.
Bought a 4' Polaris blade only, widened it to 4'-6" to clear tire width when angled, this past fall, i removed the manual lift and put a winch on. Making it through the 1st winch winter, found that the (gas) cart battery struggles to keep up, so I've just completed a dedicated 50A surface mount quick connector in the bag well and fitted a fitting to a seperate deep cycle that I'll be using this winter.
Now onto spraying my apple trees using my flip down rear seat and my new/used battery powered tank sprayer setting there with my 2.25×7ish×3.5 mini battery that I was told to replaces as back- up in my home alarm, it is now 13 yrs old with no sign of quitting. Again, Batteryminder maintained too.
NOTE! I keep a desulfinator "Batteryminder" charger/maintainer on all my batteries (3) tractor, mower, and cart religiously, so far my oldest HD (tractor) is 6 + yrs, other two are 5 yrs. Best $$ I've spent on battery longevity ever, rarely over 3-4 yrs. and one mini 13 yrs old. I'm obviously a believer in these "Batteryminder's. No interest just a regular old guy that reads tech articles, with no connection to them.
No pun intended👀
