Thanks!!!
Some of these shop pictures make me realize I need to clean up. I have always put my tools away when I am finished with a job but I tend to leave parts, materials, papers, etc scattered.
I am a VERY BAD ...cleaner upper!
On to the next task!
The most un glamorous part of finishing a project: cleanup
Particularly cutting trees or brush. The cutting is the satisfying & fun part, the cleanup not so much.
Painting is the reverse. Prep prep prep...then the fun of painting.

My Brother grabbed the wash boiler from the family estate to pile Time, Hemmings Motor News, and Road & Track magazines into. Copper on the outside is ~80% intact.
(I don't know how they get their linens clean.)
I'm, still looking for a wringer washer. I see 'em in yards rusting away with weeds growing around them.
I'd rather stumble onto one before it's put out as yard art.
I remember going to the Ice House with my Dad as a small boy in Texas.
Did that drill press not come crank to raise and lower the bed? I like your upgrade!
My favorite part is cleaning up. It's a challenge to get every last piece off the bench. It is tedious at times as we have so much that it is too easy to get so many items out, even extra fasteners add up. The salvation is I intentionally made it as easy to put away as drop it where it's used, it takes a little disciplined and if I am working with others tend to be mostly put away by the time the job is finished if I am paying attn.

I know my Delta press drill like that does not it only has a clamp the movement is just by sliding it up or down.

Correct! And thanks, Ernie.
Not having a geared table lift is “okay” until you have a heavy drill press vise and workpiece clamped on it. LOL.![]()
Guess that's why we only made ice cream in the winter...
I was the go-fer. Go fer more icicles hanging off the roofs.
With the lack of insulation back then, the icicles were more the size of a leg than a carrot.
Me too... because it means I finished the project. My problem is completely finishing projects. Seems that last few details take me the longest to complete and as such all the tools, hardware, scraps, and stuff are all over the place and I don't have a place to set any more 'stuff' on my workbench. My favorite part is cleaning up.
