New guy, and a Farmtrac Owner.

I got a 535 w/fel. a 5ft light duty shredder, 5ft woods GB60 boxblade, front hay spear (Farmtrac), auger with 9" bit.

paid. 16,890.00 did I get ripped?, stole it?, or fair price?

I'd say that's a fair price.

That's about what I paid for mine. Major differences being: I'm 5hp less, but have syncro-shuttle shift & 4WD. Your machine's a bit heavier & one size up on the FEL. I also didn't get the spear & auger.

I've been real pleased mine (just turned 50 hrs).

Hey, veno (and firedog), welcome to TBN. So what do you have planned for the tractor and how do you like it so far? Post pics when you get the chance.

I bought a new 535 in August '06 and added a front-loader Spring '07. I have come to the conclusion that it is the best bargain I've had in a tractor since the last new MF 135 I bought in the middle seventies. It is a lot of tractor for what it costs, especially compared to what a lot of less robust CUTs cost. You mentioned in another post that your tractor has an automatic engaging diff lock. I wonder why FT doesn't publicize that? It works very well and is very convenient when piling brush or digging small saplings with the loader. I've had mine engage several times while subsoiling, too.

Here are my 535 and its older brother, a 640 Ford, awaiting food-plot-planting duty.

As I've said before, I wouldn't hesitate to draw these tractors on a 150 acre or larger farm. I would need a hired man for a few weeks, some good weather to plow, and a few weeks of 12-14 hour days, but I could (and have done so in the past) get 'er done with a couple of good tractors like these.

Here are a couple of pictures of me pulling a subsoiler. You can really bust through a hardpan and get your soil in good, mellow condition with this tool. It puts a heck of a load on a tractor, though. the little 535 handled it like a champ, though, pulling it 16-18 inches deep.

I plan to and have moved about 20 yards of fill. dug a trough 30ft long 5 ft deep to bury a horse.(unexpected) mow 5 acres of pasture. replace fencing, install new fencing, Move round bails ... Pushed over some 5 inch tree with ease. general utility work.

Thanks for the welcome guys.

Pic will come as soon as I can. ya know how life can be.... I have a camera now so that will be soon

redlevel: good to know you have a high opinion of the 535.

BTDT: well it smokes on start up(black) . that bothers me. the engine changes pitch when it gets up to temp and the smoke disappears.

after that it runs fine. it is loud as diesels go. sounds like its going to throw a rod when starting(is this normal).. Please 435, 535, 545 responders.
