I'm not sure what model it is called but it is the newest Kubota UTV with the cab and factory air. I saw it yesterday at the Farm Progress Show in Decatur, IL. It sounded like at good idea but the seating area is so small. I am tall and my knees pushed up against the dash. I don't know if they made the interior smaller to make room for the air and heater but it definitely will not be going home with me. I supposed they designed it for the Japanese people, hard to find one over 5-7.

I think that the Japs will have to make it to Georgia to see one, for I think thats were the production plant for the RTV's are. But you are right, they must have been a Jap on the drawing board ~~~ Have you tried the 900 series units ?

I'm just over 6' and I find I'm a bit tight but not uncomfortable. Both machines have about the same leg room although he dash is a bit different because of the air conditioner and the room for the radio.

I am 6'5" but all I did with the RTV900 was raise the seat an 1'. Now I got all kinds of leg room.

i'm 6'2'', cab area is a little tight but so was everything else i tried. room seems the same as the 900 i had. feels bigger than my rhino.maybe i just don't notice it as much without sweat running down my back.

I'm " sawed-off " , >>>> I'm lucky I reckon' , never had any trouble with the bailing in and out of the RTV. But I can see where a tall feller would have the knees a knocking.

You mention that the Kubota engineers must have made the cab for short people. I think Kubota made 'em for ...American Cowboys.. There's enough head room in the RTV 1100's for a 10 gallon hat! They { Kubota } must think all Americans are..... John Wayne Cow Boys !!

I was wondering why so much head room in the cab. Maybe it because the height is necessary for the ROPS to be effective. Just a guess.

I'm going with the new XUV Gator, all kinds of leg room, plus you don't have to slide over protruding handles to get in the seat.

Kahuna,

I've made 40 to 50 trips to Japan in the last 15 years. Most males under 50 are over 5'7". It's not uncommon to see 18 to 25 year-old males well over 6 feet tall.

Two Guns,

The term "Ja_" is no longer used. It is a derrogatory term just like the "N" word is for African Americans.

I don't want to get this thread offtrack, but I have many great friends in Japan and Japan is one of the US's best allies.

From MY point of view the term "Jap" comes a Yugoslavian (or was it Swedish) motorcycle produced back in the 50's and 60's. Not from the countrymen of an empire that marched through Asia in the late 30's and 40's enslaving millions of people. These same people marched tens of thousands of captured American soldiers to their death on various marches. They then loaded the survivors onto death ships for transportation to their homeland and enslavement.

Yes, we have forgotten and forgiven these and further atrocities. Witness where the profits for the RTV goes back to. To embarass a patriot for their point of view by implying bigotry disregards the heritage of the American warrior and the price paid by our forefathers to give us what we so freely give away.

Just my humble opinion.........Dennis

Not really comparable machines but you may not need all thats offered in the Kubota's.
