One of the electric ZTR mowers add says their stats are reached by mowing grass 3" higher than deck setting. Which IMO isn't bad, even for a gas engine version.

I wonder not only about volume of grass, but those little wheels trying to push the unit through taller grasses. A ZTR would have standard size wheels. I imagine an RC car trying to traverse grass that is 6-7" tall, compared to a Tesla. Both electric, both cars, not the same capability

I have 4 acres that I need cut this week...

Go cut it, your grass needs are to special for a robomower. I’ll play with my son while RoboMoe lays down some stripes on parts of my hillside lawn a zturn would piss itself just looking at. Lol.

Be careful AI does not take over you robot mowers and it eats you daisy's....
It must be tough being scared of the future! If you saw my mower any thoughts of it taking over no matter what controls it is laughable.

How is it working for your intended mowing?
Amazing. Freed up my weekends and when I used to cut once a week during the weekends the grass would grow so much I was blasting out long clippings. So much that it would kill grass where it piled up and made it miserable to do anything outside because of dew and grass sticking all over shoes. The robo mower cuts so often the grass always looks perfect and there are no noticeable clippings.

All that is awesome, before you even get into the large 40deg slopes I had that were difficult to walk on and weedeat. This thing with tracks mows where no ridding or z turn would even look at.

It is awesome at cutting grass but it is slow and the thought of it revolting and taking over is so funny and childish. A bit like being scared of the dark.

Thanks. Could you remind us which model you're using?

Lymow. Bought it through kickstarter. I think there is already an upgraded new one.

So ... How big is you lawn that it's mowing?

I actually most of the time like mowing ...

That what I'm curious about, how big is the area it mows exactly?

If I were in a residential setting with say 1/4-1/2 after or lawn, I think it would be a no-brainer.
