Your age (71) is not a limiting factor, it is a qualification.
You qualify for a front mounted snowblower. They make it much comfortable for the operator.
yes it should be but Uncle Joe wreaked a bit of havoc on the economy. I am the original owner on the unit which only has about 550 hours on it and it's always been inside.
Everything is paid for so it's hard to justify buying a new unit or trying to find a front blower and retrofitting it.
It has a loader on it now so I'm not sure what all would be involved. I'm more than capable of doing the work but it's hard to justify the expense.
Our snowfalls in the last7-10 years have been a lot less than previous years as well. We didn't get any snow until mid February this year which is extremely unusual (not complaining
love to buy a new unit with the quick attach feature but not in the budget.
So far the mirror or suggested camera seems to be the best options for me. Being a tight-ss I'll probably try the semi mirror first.
On a separate subject for those with manual chute rotators, I made mine electric using a power window motor out of a 2000 era GM car. I put it in a plastic hobby box, mounted it to the blower and coupled it to the rotator shaft.
I mounted a momentary 3 position switch to another hobby box, Pulled the 12v off the tractor and ran the wiring out side to the motor. Been working great for about 5 years
I want to thank all that responded
