Hey, AllPontiac....I got a 1715 also. I have a 4' rotary cutter and it seems like the max cutter I'd want on it . Cut a lot of rough stuff....heavy grass ....and will load the 1715 down. Most all my cutting is in mid range 2 nd gear. Never go faster but sometimes run in 1st gear when real rough terrain.
How does yours handle a 5' cutter ??? I am sure pleased with the 1715. It is the perfect sized tractor for what I need to do. All my stuff for it is 4' except a grader blade I have . It runs great and starts great....but it demands the glow plugs to start. About 1100 hours now and hour meter just broke.
