I think maybe replying to a thread that has been dormant since circa 2004?Might be perceived as dredging.

I dont understand. ez has been a member since 07. the posting was o4. how could he have responded if here then.?I see what your saying but if one finds an old post , and replies, is that bad? I dont think so i never found this post before but liked that it was brought up again. I had never thought of a setup as the paper article showed, so 'rehashing' it was a plus in my book.

Imagine this scenario if you would....
A guy who fabricates parts for tractors goes onto a message board where the primary discussion is about tractors, I mean these guys on here cover just about every aspect you could imagine. While there he searches to see what kind of comments have been made about products like the one he fabricates. Such comments may provide insight to improve his product. His search comes up with a design that he had not heard of before. Without paying ANY attention to the date stamp on the previous post he makes a simple comment about the design and how it would attach to a tractors lift arms....
Please let me apologize for reviving an old post. In the future I will be sure to take note of the date when the last post was made. I have not been a member for very long, so forgive me for not knowing proper TBN etiquette, how old can a post be and still be replied to?
It looks like gfd 703 may be happy the post was brought back to life, as it appears he is using it to try and work a set of prototypes out of PatG for free.

Kennyd that was very tacky! What about Pat's posting conduct? I've seen him what I would consider, promoting his product several times and nobody has said any thing about him. Looks to me like several people on this site has it in for Jerome.
Have to admit, every now and then I catch myself replying to an old thread not checking the date of last post. I guess if we only looked at the new threads, it is easy to see why there are so many of the same questions answered all the time.

If you check that post, I was just joining a previous post. I did not bring up my product, somebody else did. And in defense of Jerome, I answered yesterday and didn't even see the date on the original post until all of this was brought up. If somebody asks a question, I will answer and give my opinion. But just like everybody else, it is just my opinion.
