Well either way I think I like the idea that we can re-discuss old threads and ideas. I thought that was what this site was all about.
We are lucky to have these guys with us to comment right to the person behind the welder. Id hate to loose that advantage we have.
I think we all sometimes have a tendency to be harsh on people here. I have seen where people will post a project, and recieve some harsh comments. Not all but it only takes one or two to make people not post a project as they feel that people arent sincere with praise.Dont mean to be so harsh, but its been a long time coming .
In my opinion, if am old thread comes up, im glad that maybe the original posters are still 'with us' .

How old does a thread get before we can't reply anymore? The answer is probably posted somewhere, but I don't usually read those darn rules.

I'm reminded of a quote comparing internet arguments to the special olympics...I'll leave it at that...

Personally, If I find a post on a forum that I would like to discuss, I'll reply to it. I don't give a darn how old the post is. If anyone has an issue with discussing an old topic, they can move on to more current topics.

I'm with ya on the " old post " issue . Who cares how old it is ? If its of interest to anyone, then lets Talk about it !

Well atleast I am among the majority. I guess what really caused the fuss is that after I replied to an old thread; a happy customer went on to compliment me and the customer service I try to provide in the same thread.

I think that because I am not an "OFFICIAL ADVERTISER" on these boards (lord knows I have tried to become one, but they won't even answer my emails), some people don't like my product to be mentioned too much.
