I've done my driveway for years this way. The only thing I'll mention is to always keep your 2 rear tires on the driveway. If you don't go perpendicular to the driveway you could get stuck. Just a precaution to take.

I bought a rmsb last week. I can't take being out working on the driveway for 4 hours at a time.

Here is my "slush pusher" - we haven't got too much snow in MA the past few years - so this works very well - bucket still fills, driveway protected, etc

Rev 2 will put an angle on it though...original design flaw

It will work fine, I used the FEL all winter this past year. Just be careful not to dig into the asphalt. It works especially well when you have ice, like we did this past year, it was easily able to dig up chunks and clean the drive.

Without a doubt, put SOMETHING on the wear edge of the bucket. I pushed snow on some concrete driveways and I noticed a significant amount of wear. Not too much to cause a problem, but more than enough to know that I did not want to have this be my permanent solution

I don't know about pushing snow away but my bx 23 has done an excelent job of keeping it away .
Since I got it in Sept of 2004 we've only had about 3 snows and they were only about an inch deep.

I do a 100 foot gravel driveway with a FEL on a BX. It works real well but I have found it's best to let a layer of snow get packed down on top of the gravel before I start pushing the snow. That way you don't get mouthfulls of gravel dumped on your lawn or where ever. I just run back and forth on the first few drops of snow to pack it down.

I have had a bx24 and a 7510. The 7510 is a much better pusher than the BX. The one thing to keep in mind is that the horsepower ratings between the two doesnt mean squat. The engine in the 7510 is more powerful than any of the BX engines. The B7510 uses a considerably larger displacement engine than the BX. The BX engines are just spun faster in order to acheive a high horsepower rating. When it comes to pushing, torque is far more important than horsepower. I calculated the torque difference between the 2, this is what i came up with.

Formula to calculate torque from horsepower- Torque=horsepower*5252/rpm

BX24=23hp@3200rpm
B7510=21hp@2600rpm

BX24- 23(hp)x5252/3200=37.74lb/ft of torque
B7510- 21(hp)x5252/2600=42.42lb/ft of torque

OP- Sorry for the off topic, to answer your question, when i had my BX it would push snow very well. you might want to consider some added weight though.
