Ordered my AgroTrend 7274 Inverted blower today. Sick of looking backwards. Sold my Kubota L2674 for more than I bought it for 6 years ago…but paying out the nose for the new one

Had to look this one up, and if I am reading correctly:

Is this a Meteor, US built blower sold as AgroTrend in Canada and is also the newer Hybrid pull behind design? From some pics I found the chute design looks different than some other Meteors.

Wondering what Deere / PAPE is charging for this 74" hybrid model?
Every ad says "Call for price" that I saw.

I bought my standard style Inverted WIFO 84" last year, and it was about 8K but that was all in- with tax, shipping, hydraulic rotator, hydraulic chute deflector included. basic unit was ~ $6400. which Was a great deal at the time.

Radtech, a Canadian manufacturer, makes the traditional three point hitch snowblowers for Deere (Frontier). I would suspect that they are also making this one. I also believe that Radtech makes some of the snowblowers for Kubota as well.

Come on over I'd love to see you drive through 4-6 foot snow drifts to clear them with your pull type blower. I use a rear mount

That makes sense. The first information I encountered on this blower, it was orange and on a Kubota. I read later that this blower was only available in Canada until I found the same blower in Green from John Deere. Paid just over $7,700 with hydraulic shoot and deflector, setup and sales tax. Seemed like a great value.

A drift? No problem at all as I would just pull it apart with the loader first.
If we were getting a 3 foot storm I’d blow it during the storm just like one must do with a plow.

I had a 72” front blower on a NH4835 at work and have many hours in the seat to compare them both in real time.
I’d never go back.

Anybody running the Kubota/Land-Pride Hybrid (SBP16nn) on gravel roads? I just took delivery on one and as far as I and the local tech smart-people can figure out, this rascal is really aimed at "driveways, parking lots and sidewalks." That's a quote from the user manual.

If you look at Jim's picture (up-thead a couple pages), you can see that it would be possible to adjust the skids down in order to raise the whole blower off the gravel but still leave it level. Interestingly, the Kubota skid adjustments have the rear bolt as a pivot. So we can raise the front but not the rear. I just took it on a 10 foot test drive and I have a... land plane! Scooped up a giant gulp of gravel.

My first instinct is to just to shorten the top link, which raises the back up high enough to clear the gravel. But the manual is pretty firm about making sure the blower is level and it definitely won't be that if I shorten the top link.

Any experience/thoughts would be much appreciated

I too have just received my pull type Inverted Blower. It also wants to catch the gravel too easily. Shortening the top link makes the blower angled too far forward and looks weird. So I removed the skid shoes/plates and added two thick washers between the body and shoes onto each of the bolts. Now the shoes are lowered raising the cutting edge up off the driveway by about 1/4”. Should be better but still waiting for snow. Just had light snow skiffs so far. If I need to raise it up more I will need to get longer bolts to add more washers.

Mike, I would think “level” is meant for side to side, not front to back.

If this is anything like our Cyclones shortening the front arm makes it more aggressive. Think of it as a box blade with an auger. Lengthen the top arm to make it less aggressive.
