Harv, did you check the back end of the toolbox under the seat?

That's another thing they forgot to give me, Jag. /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif

Far as I know, there ain't no toolbox under the seat nor anywhere else on an L2500. That's probably why they call it an "economy" tractor. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Imagine how embarrassed I'll be if it turns out you're right. /w3tcompact/icons/blush.gif It'll be a couple more weeks before I see my tractor again, so I can't double check right now.

Ron could be right -- maybe the monkeys got out of my barrel and swiped the danged PTO shaft cover. /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif

I never had one for my old L175 but had considered making an L shaped flap and welding a piece of pipe for the pin to slide through for holding in place. Just as a safety measure, but sold the tractor before doing so.

On my TC29D, the mid pto has a plastic push on cover that has never been taken off, and probably never will be.
I have the screw on cap for the rear, and put it on when I'm not using the pto.
The manuel say's<font color=blue> " The PTO cap should always be installed when the PTO is not in use"</font color=blue>
It does not give the why. I figure it's to keep dirt, debris, and moisture off the shaft.
