We have a rural church building that has a propane furnace. The building is used once per week (you guessed it, on Sundays). Since there is nothing to freeze in the building we keep the furnace turned off during the week and somes one comes out turn it back on sometime on Saturday to be ready for Sunday morning.
My question... is there a "programmable" thermostat that will allow us to turn off the system after service and automatically turn it back on at a predetermined time the following Saturday? That would save us an extra trip to the building to manually turn it on. The thermostats I have investigated at Lowe's only allow for a low temp setting of 45 degrees which is low but still "wastes" money heating an empty building.
BTW this is a "heat only" system.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.....
