Here's the 3pt chipper modified for the power trac 1850. Takes about 30 minutes to return to 3pt tractor power if needed. But on/off like any other hydraulic attachment otherwise.

Very cool, along with your other work in the background. I think Power Trac should offer a 3pt hitch adapter. Most PT owners would buy one and although it may cut into their implement sales, they may sell more tractors.

Thanks!

The 1850 is used to help clear for trail, maintain fire and field breaks and manage understory. So this chipper , the modded HD flail cutter, a 34" grapple travel together.

This fall it will be paired with the PT 4xx w front hoe, stump grinder, and rear hose reel pole saw, brush saw setup.

I have a Befco drum chipper with a optional flail for twigs. Unless I need chips I would rather use the grapple and pile it in a dump.

Not me! If I never see another 3pt implement I'll be happy. ;)

Your hatred for 3 point implements is somewhat unfounded. Some jobs are flat out done better from the back and the ability to use 2 implements at once opens up a lot of options. Plus it’s a lot cheaper that way. With a good 3 point hitch it can be swapped in just a couple minutes.

I wouldn't say it was a hatred, but experience in using 3 point hitch. I don't dispute, that some implements would work better being pulled, rather then pushed.

Well I hate hooking up a heavy 3pt implement that you can't manhandle around, especially if the tractor doesn't have telescopic lower arms. I always seemed to be out back, no tools, kicking with boot trying to get that arm to slid on the pin, then there is all the adjustments! It is nice with the Power trac, it seems they make it sloppy enough that it goes right on even if not level. The hardest part is the hyd hoses.
