Kioti 2023 - RX6620 - ROPS
First of all, thank you for any input you can provide.

I would like to add at least a second set of rear remotes to my Kioti RX6620. Potentially a third - although I think I could get by with just two. I will be installing a hydraulic top link and a hydraulic side link to make my use of box blade and blade more efficient. I imagine that a need for a third remote will be rare, if ever - so that is not my principal concern. And, if I ever need temporary access to either of the two proposed remotes (for use with a backhoe for example), I can go through the trouble of removing the top link temporarily thus freeing up a set of remotes.

I would like to accomplish this myself. My options from research are to go with either a 2nd remote kit made specifically for Kioti -- Kioti RX-Series w/ROPS 2nd Remote Kit -- or

Go with a more of a plug and play option from, for example, Summit -- Hydraulic Multiplier Kit, 3 Circuit Selector Valve Including Couplers and Switch Box Control

My question at this time is most directly: if I was to go with the 2nd remote kit made specifically for Kioti, I can see the install not being too difficult in so far as the installation of the of the assembly at the rear of the tractor and that of the control arm (and wiring), but will this installation also include me having to run a new set of hydraulic lines towards the front of the tractor? Or, alternatively, is the set-up that exists such that the 2nd set of remotes and assembly will simply utilize (piggy-back) the existing hydraulic lines that are already installed for the first set of remotes?

I have looked all throughout the sources I can find, and I can't find any installation instructions for the 2nd remote kit made for Kioti - of which I figure would answer my question if I could find them.

Thank you again for any help or advice you can provide.

/ Kioti - RX6620 - 2nd Rear Remote Addition Question #2
Welcome RX6620-TH,

I too have an RX6620 open station tractor. The open station only has provisions for two remote levers, whereas the cab version accommodates three. I had my dealer install one spring-return-to-neutral (momentary) remote, and one latching forward/ reverse remote.

Also, they installed a 3rd function setup for controlling a grapple.

I would compare Summit's Monoblock control valves with their hydraulic multipiers, to be sure you're getting the functionality you want/ need.

I run a grapple via the 3rd function. It is great.
I run a top link and a side link from the rear remotes. With flow restrictors, they work fine. I wish I had one more remote for other attachments, That's why I've been looking at the Summit Monoblock Control Valve.

Here's the one I'm looking at: Summit Hydraulics

Good luck in your adventure.

David

BTW, when the dealer installed my 2nd remote, it was UNPAINTED from the factory, and immediately began to rust.😞

I later removed it and painted it Kioti gray. In so doing, I realized how simple the installation was. If you're handy, you could certainly do the install yourself.

It’s stupid easy adding the second rear with Kioti oe kit. The valves stack. No additional lines are run. The three bolts come out of the top of your existing valve. You set the top cover to the side. Set the new valve body on top, place top cover on top, bolt down with 3 new longer bolts included in the kit. Attaching cable and lever is pretty intuitive and isn’t hard either.
There are several o rings between each layer of the assembly you need to mindful are in place and don’t get pinched otherwise not much to it.

Thank you so much for all the input and feedback David & dusty. I am going to move forward with the order. I'm going to plan on getting the second remote up and running and then give it some time to decide if a third is really worth it (in which case, I'll go the Summit route). Thanks again!
