Soundguy,

My latest page loads are: "Page generated in 0.16563 seconds with 10 queries."

If you look at that line at the bottom of the page, it will have the time TBN is requiring. If the number if low, as mine is, but the actual time you experience is high, 3 or more seconds, especially a long time, it is something happening on your service provider or the Net in general.

Keep us posted.

Hmm.. may have been something on the net.. but not my connection... I was browsing other sites just fine.

Also just got a 'new post' email about this post:

http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/showthread.php?t=87584&goto=newpost

and it's way old.. WAY old...

In the "old" board (which is really old now), there was a "View All" link on the list of threads. Now, for multi-page threads, there's only the page numbers, and a "Last Page".
I find a "View All" link very useful, since it allows me to go to a thread, read it all, scroll around, and always just us ethe Back button to get back to the thread list. Also, I'd rather wait an extra second or two for the whole thread to load, rather than have to interrupt reading the thread every few posts for the next page to load.

Now, I have to go through the pages, and of course, the Back button doesn't take me back to the thread list - I have to press Back multiple times, each time waiting for a re-render.
I've learned to use the forum jump at the bottom to jump back top the forum I was on after reading a multi-page thread, but the View All option was much easier for me.

I appreciate the ability to view pages individually, especially for those on dial-up.

Well new post notifications are a separate issue from slow page loads... so...

Look at that line at the bottom of the page, it will have the time TBN is requiring. What is that number on the page or pages you are now loading?

The pages are back to magically loading up in about 3 seconds now. Number at the bottom of the page is;

Page generated in 0.14091 seconds with 16 queries

For the last couple of days when I leave a forum and go back to the main index I get a security warning. It says Windows has blocked this software because it can't verify the publisher. The name it gives is swflash.cab. TBN is the only place I have this problem.

For the heck of it.. go to yout tools section on IE ( if that is what you are using ). Manage add-ons. Disable macromedia.. and see what happens..

Iam using AOL which i beleive uses explorer. I went to tools-manage add-ons and macromedia was not listed. I ran Norton antivirus and found nothing. Then I cleared temp.internet filesand now I get a different warning. adobie flash player.

Ahh.. then disable that one. Most people are using macromedia as a flash player.. however adobie is another big one.

Adobe owns Macromedia.

Hmm.. My IE still reports just plain macromedia as a flash player plug in the manage add on section. ( no mention of adobie ) I have not installed the latest upgrade that probably changes the reported name ( and also may have a few problems in it like this other user has experienced... )
