Post Questions/Problems In This Thread

I seem to be having an ongoing intermittent problem with click throughs. If I click on a thread sometimes it will never open. At that point I hit stop, back, then try again. Sometimes it takes two or three tries to see the thread that I want. Is anyone else experiencing this type of slowdown?

I posted about the same type of problem about the end of July. Seemed to get a little better, but it's off and on. There was no response then, and I thought maybe others weren't having the problem...

sounds like we're all having this issue -- I generally do TBN first thing in the a.m. at my desk --- through the lan - on a frame relay -- so I know it's not my throughput. I get hangs everyday -- changing threads, trying attachments, doesn't seem to be a pattern of any specific links -- but all.

patience is most likely exactly what it will take to find the glitch(es) causing this. like I said above - doesn't seem to have a pattern - random acts of error ...... that kinda thing drives me nutz trying to find. .... wishing y'all all the luck I can muster. ---

Yep, those intermittent problems with anything can drive you nuts. And this particular problem occurs for me maybe 10 to 15% of the time.

This prob was fixed for awhile, but is back: when looking at a pic, the return takes you back to the top of the thread instead of the one you were looking at prior to clicking on the pic. Just thought i'd let you know.........

That's been happening here also but I actually thought the problem was on my end.

Here is an odd one. I just got a post notification via email. Clicking the hyper link gets me a 404 error. yet.. i can go to the forum manually, and then select the message.

Here is the message url as taken from the browser when i went there manually.

Ok.. another odd one. it is 9:52 am est time. All of a sudden when i click a link to a thread from an email notification.. or manualy navigate and click a link to a thread I've been reading.. i no longer go to the last read message.. I go to the 1st message. 10 minutes ago this was working fine.

Also.. I keep getting email notifications about a reply .. i click it.. and there is no new email. I'll post 2 examples.

I've gotten at least 3 copies of each of these.. each show the same 'new' message number... and in each case.. it is an old message.. not a new reply.. same number in each link in each of the 3 messages. for both of these..

Perhaps a related issue. When viewing a post from a email notice link.. the page is showing.. but the replies ar not unless i go out to the forums.. and then go in manually.. then the new post shows up... weird..

In a forum.. but not a thread. the 'advertise here' is pushing the page number out.. thus making the page 3" wider, and making the screen scroll side to side.

Anyone else seeing this?

I tried an exit and reload.. no help. No other problems on other websites. Only happens browsing the thread list... looks ok in a thread.

Whe I click on "forum tools" (which used to get the pull down and mark the firum as read) it just jumps me to the bottom of the page.

How do I mark the forum read now?
