Is there a Pex clamp ring that separates so you can put it on an already installed pipe like a regular hose clamp?

I messed up one crimp and there’s not much pipe left to cut off to redo it with a new crimp ring.

When I was re-plumbing my house a few years ago I screwed up a couple crimps in the process. Was able to (gently) cut the old ring, pry it off, remove the pipe from the fitting and put on a new crimp ring. Dunno how well that would have worked if it'd been on there a while.
I suppose you could get away with a hose clamp, never tried it on pex, but I did have a copper pipe burst a few years earlier and did a temporary repair with some automotive heater hose & hose clamps.

Thanks 😊

However, I’m really wanting a Pex clamp but one that can be installed on the installed line.

Why can’t you take the pipe apart if you’re cutting the old crimp anyway?

I haven’t been able to pull the fitting out without having to cut the pipe off it.

I took one apart like that by gently heating it.

This style you can straighten the small lock tab and unroll it.
Might be a bit tough to get it back together, but I have done it in the past.
These style clamps are popular om European vehicles.

I not aware of anything like you're asking for. You can carefully cut the current ring off and take the joint apart and re apply a crimp ring, or cut out a section and splice in another section

The mangled crimp is holding and NOT leaking so I am going to let it ride for now.

If I have to replace it I will cut it out and do a short extension of the cpvc it connects to.

Thanks for the advice and suggestions! 😀
