My pet peeve about fourms is members that do not fill out their profiles. It is nice to know where people are from when reading differnt posts. At least tell us what state and part of the state if you are afraid of telling which town you live in.

I agree totally. I like to know as a minimum where people are located and what they have for a tractor without looking into profiles. I like it in the signature line and photo avitar. If I am getting advice or comments from someone who has a similar machine is more helpful than others just guessing.

I don't know. The more I hear about identity theft, information mining, etc., the less inclined I am to freely give information about myself.

Excellent idea.
I really don't see any good reason not to fill in a profile.
